Blue Cheese Dressing and Dip
This is a delicious dip for veggies such as carrots, cucumbers, radishes, celery, red pepper; it was made to go with Buffalo Wings; and it’s a fabulous dressing to pour over chopped Baby Gem, romaine or quartered iceberg lettuce.
- 1 c mayonnaise
- 1/2 c sour cream (you can substitute buttermilk here, if you’re going just for the dressing; it will make it a little more pour-able)
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 clove of garlic, minced
- 1 T lemon juice
- 1 T rice vinegar (white vinegar is okay)
- 2 T of minced onion
- 1/4 cup of crumbled blue cheese
- 1 tsp Accent – which is MSG (optional – but adds a lot – see Food for Thought)
- 1/2 tsp Lowry’s Seasoning (optional – but adds a lot)[/recipe-ingredients]So why does MSG have such a bad reputation? The answer is complex, so be sure to read the two articles about MSG filed under Food for Thought. Brought to you by Big Little Meals and Andy and Ann
