In-N-Out Burger's Almost-Secret Spread
This spread – a copycat version and similar to a 1000 Island dressing – is also good on fries, onion rings, a green salad, a BLT, or a pastrami sandwich. Adapted from AlsoTheCrumbsPlease.com
- 1/2 c mayonnaise (using Duke’s Mayo may come closest to replicating the actual In-N-Out spread)
- 3 T ketchup
- 2 T relish (either sweet or dill pickle works)
- 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp sugar
- pinch of Diamond kosher salt
Add all of the ingredients to a small bowl and mix together. Let sit for at least an hour for flavors to blend (refrigerate if it’s more than an hour). Then add a generous dollop to each hamburger. Serve. If any spread is leftover, it will keep, refrigerated, for a week.
