Nuoc Cham - Vietnamese Dipping Sauce

  • Servings: Depends on how you're using it

If you want this as a salad dressing, simply omit the water and add a little oil if you wish.

  • 3 T lime juice
  • 2 T sugar
  • 1/2 c water
  • 2 1/2 T fish sauce
  • 1 minced garlic (optional)
  • 1 Thai chile (optional and to taste), thinly sliced

In a small bowl, combine all the ingredients and stir until the sugar is dissolved.
